Larry Brick of Marion Arkansas began his musical journey on the guitar a bit later in life at the age of 17. After spending his youth running the muddy river bottoms and being the life of the party among friends, his 30 years in the music business has sent him coast to coast uncountable times and brought him back home to Arkansas every time. He spent the early days of his career playing and singing in venues from Colorado to Florida. He met his first wife in the Florida Keys where his career in Christian music began and he signed his first record deal with Maranatha Records shortly after. Larry is the father of three and now step father of three more. In 2006 several years after a divorce Larry met Rachel while she was singing in downtown Eureka Springs Arkansas, this is where Brick Fields began. This is also when his journey into Gospel Blues music began. Larry teaches Rachel the road of Gospel music and Rachel reminds Larry of the roots of blues music. Larry growing up directly across the river from Memphis already had a huge taste of those roots growing up while spending time as a kid at Huey’s and on Union Ave listening to the musicians that played there. Growing up in Arkansas brings influences from folk, blues, gospel, country and all walks of music that have influenced Larry’s guitar playing which has been called, memorizing and anointed. Rachel says, “Larry’s guitar playing takes me in all directions but every direction we go it is right where I need to be in that moment in time and allows my vocals to soar. He is a vocalist player and as well as a gifted musical player.”
